Meet EV Naturals

We started this business because of how much CBD personally improved the quality of life for ourselves, as well as friends and family. However, we quickly found out that not all CBD products are created equal, not all CBD companies are legitimate, and you most definitely can’t believe everything you read on the internet.

Drawing from our experiences, it is our goal to assist our customers so that they don’t have to go through the lengthy learning process like we did. We do this by providing a wide  range of products from some of the world’s best CBD companies. We determined this by only carrying companies that not only have a good reputation in the industry, but can provide third-party lab testing on all of their products, which we are in turn able to provide to all of our customers.Lab tested products are extremely important, because it is the only way that you can ensure what is actually in the product you are purchasing. Presently, it is not an industry requirement to provide lab testing documentation, and many companies out there do not even bother with it. However, it is our requirement as a business to only carry products from companies that do.

At EV Naturals we strive to provide our customers with not only the best CBD products on the market today, but also provide the best customer service, and education. We try to provide a personalized experience with every customer in order to find the best products to suit their needs. CBD products are a relatively new addition to the market, and there are a lot of myths, misunderstandings, and misinformation surrounding CBD. It can be difficult to navigate through all of the information, separating fact from fiction, and we are passionate about educating our customers and providing them with the tools to make informed decisions.

CBD FAQ

CBD, short for cannabidiol, is a chemical compound (cannabinoid) from the cannabis plant. It’s a naturally occurring substance that’s used in various products by users to address a wide variety of issues. Unlike its cousin tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), it’s not psychoactive (though it CAN affect neurochemistry). It will not get you high. You will not feel altered in any way.

The plant Cannabis has two primary types (from a legal standpoint), hemp and marijuana. Both contain CBD, but there’s a much higher percentage in hemp, which also has very low (<0.3%) levels of THC compared to marijuana. CBD is extracted from the hemp plant.

The ECS is a natural part of our bodies, and is crucial for maintaining homeostasis. Basically, homeostasis is your body’s efforts  to keep your internal environment stable and running optimally, regardless of what’s going on in the environment around you. When something is operating outside of the right range, your body activates the ECS to help correct it. For example, when you’re hot and you begin to sweat, that is your ECS working to cool you down.

It is a part of the largest neurotransmitter system in the body, regulating many bodily processes through specific receptors, called CB1 & CB2 receptors which are located throughout the entire body. These receptors have been shown to have influence over pain, inflammation, anxiety, mood, motor control, digestion, appetite, blood pressure, and much more. These receptors are activated by compounds that our body produces called endogenous cannabinoids (anandamide & 2-AG). Other compounds, such as those produced by the cannabis plant (CBD, THC, CBN, and others) also have influence over these receptors in various ways.

In a perfect world, our ECS would operate perfectly, all of the time. However, things like stress, disease, diet, and many other factors can keep the ECS from doing its job properly. This can result in an endocannabinoid deficiency. This deficiency can be caused by overactivation of the enzymes that break down endocannabinoids (anandamide & 2-AG), which deactivates them before they have been able to properly do their job. Endocannabinoid deficiency has been linked to migraines, depression, insomnia, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Fibromyalgia Syndrome, Alzheimer’s disease, PTSD, and many other afflictions. CBD has been shown to help elevate levels of endocannabinoids, as well as block the action of enzymes that break them down. Because the ECS is intertwined into so many different bodily processes and functions, this is why it seems like people use CBD for such a wide variety of things.

Simply put, everyone is different, and it may take some time for you to figure out your optimal dosage that works best for your needs. Some people respond quickly,  for others it may take time for it to build up in their system. Variables such as body weight, metabolism, method of taking it (vaping/smoking, edible/capsule, sublingual, topical), and your reasons for taking CBD can all affect how much you would want to take. A person taking it at night to help them sleep may take a lot less than someone who has chronic pain throughout their body. It’s best to start low and work your way up. To date, there has been no recorded case of anyone overdosing on CBD. Clinical trials have gone over 1,500mg/day with it still being well tolerated.

There are over 100 different cannabinoids in the hemp plant, CBD and THC are just two of them. There are many others that have exhibited therapeutic potential, such as CBG, CBN, CBD-a, CBC, various terpenes, and others that can also affect the ECS. All of them combined may help to work synergistically in the body, allowing greater benefit at lower doses than just CBD by itself. This is known as the “Entourage Effect”.

CBD products, as long as they contain less than 0.3% Δ-9-THC are federally legal. All of our products meet this requirement.

CBD primarily affects the body’s Endocannabinoid System (ECS). The ECS is responsible for the maintenance of human health, to make sure that everything in your body is running optimally

CBD products that contain <0.3% THC (full spectrum) definitely have the possibility to fail you for a drug test. This can vary depending on how much and how often you take it, but the risk is there. If drug testing is an issue, it’s best to stick with CBD isolate or broad-spectrum CBD products that have been 3rd party lab tested showing no THC detected.

No, unlike THC, CBD is not psychoactive. Even products containing trace amounts of THC, the amount is so small that you will not get high. In fact, CBD is known to reduce the “high” feeling associated with THC.
